Belly Update

Well, here are some belly pics with the weeks. I don't feel like I have changed all that much in the last few weeks. I'm still measuring two weeks ahead, (have been since week 22) but the doctor says all that means is a big baby. And excuse the first picture. That was the first side picture we took and I wasn't feeling so good and didn't really think about how I looked.

Hot or Not?

So possibly some of you may think that my job is glamorous. So I though I would let you decide for yourself.

This is me after 4 days of working outdoors in the mountains of Scipio. Hot or Not?

Well, I would have to say Not. After we got back to Provo I needed to grab something at the bookstore and boy was it embarrassing to be walking around in public like this. If you zoom in on the first picture you will see the intense markings on my shirt. I would pour water down my neck to keep cool and it definitely left some water marks. Added with the funky hairstyle I'd say people might think I'm a candidate for "What Not to Wear".

But all in all, I am extremely happy to say that this was my last week in the field and only at 30 weeks pregnant.

Pioneer Day

Pioneer Day: the only holiday I know of where you can taste homemade butter and throw a hatchet. We went to the Provo Pioneer Day Extravaganza at the park by Veteran Memorial's Pool; there were plenty of activities going on that we got pictures of to help us remember the pioneers crossing the plains to settle Utah so the Jazz could play here.

 There was a petting zoo where Debbie could pretend she was a giant next to the miniature pony.

They didn't want me to touch the coffin so I just did my best Edward impression outside of it.

This is where the pioneers put their corn to dry it up. It is also where Debbie's stomach started growling.

As a bonus, Debbie fixed our mirror. It looks great now: she added the frame around it, cutting the wood and putting a nice finish on it herself.

Bonus: watch out, scarce animals of the American Plains. We know how to hatchet.

This music video was taken on the last day of Grandparent's Camp in Palm Coast, FL this last week so it doesn't show the magnitude of grandkids that used me as a jungle gym/diving board. This is only about 1/3 of them.

We spent one week in Florida to visit Roger and Caroly and all of Debbie's siblings and their kids. We ate delicious food, got covered in octopusian seashells that come off your skin only when scraping it like a car window in the winter and we visited Roger and Caroly's newly purchased 30-acres where they will build their dream home. To top it all off, Debbie's older sister Wendy was married to Daniel in the Orlando temple, so we were able to go to that. It was the trip we both needed before starting school and work again.

Debbie was asked to put together the flowers for Wendy's wedding and they turned out great.

Baby Pictures

Well we had the 20 week ultrasound this week and our little baby is definitely our child. He was posing away! He even gave us a little smile and let us see him from every angle. The ultrasound went great and everything looks perfect with him! I took pictures of the ultrasound pictures, so here those are.

Next on the list, I crocheted a little skirt. It was before we knew if we were having a boy or girl, but I really was just crocheting it for fun to try out the different ways of crocheting that I know. But it turned out really cute, so here it is. 

Then of course I got more flowers. I just can't ever pass them up. It seems there are always a lot of extra yellow flowers. So we have lots of yellow in our place. Luckily I love yellow. I also got a bunch of randoms. This time I plan to give them away to the three people that I visit teach.

And here is a picture of my little baby bump as mom likes to call it. In the one with the two of us I was accidentally stepping on my dress. Oh well!

Flower Power

This blog illustrates Debbie's unselfish desires to spread flowers and joy around the world. She has the means for finding cheap (free) flowers at her building on BYU campus and when she gets more than she needs, she makes bouquets for women in our ward. She has quite the green thumb, like this little chappy here.

Already she is getting big with child.

Surprise, surprise

Surprise, surprise, World. The Mrs. and I have succeeded for 17 weeks in keeping the biggest secret that history has ever known. But the secret is now out and you heard it here first. Unless you heard it elsewhere. We are having a little boy! Debbie is pregnant and due October 9, 2012 with our little man. Here are pictures of proof.
