Oliver's Birthday Party

Oliver's birthday party turned out to be so much fun. Almost all of his friends were able to make it and they all played so nicely. The only problem that we ran into was that it got dark faster than I expected and we don't have any lights on the side of the house. But it was also nice to keep it short.

Remember this kid and his love for Toy Story? Well, we decided to do a Toy Story themed party because of moments like these.  And the fact that after Disney World every other sentence was "Mom, for my birthday I want a big slinky dog, a big Buzz Lightyear with wings, a big zurg, and a big rex."

I'm extremely proud of the cake that I made.

We had a Mr. Potato Head station.
Snacks which included Hamm's ham and Mr. Potato Head's popcorn. We also had a pin the part on Mr. Potato Head.
Face Painting
And a photobooth. Isaac, Eli, Oliver, Erika, and Maisy

Haley and Maddie VanWagoner
Quincy, Oliver and Bishop Nielson.

Cambria. You can tell that our facepainting skills were not professional. But they liked it.
Calvin, Amy, and Lincoln.
Cara, Kathy, and Mike.

And a cool Alien LGM pinata.

Andrew, Alexa, Chelsea and Susan.
Quincy, Melanie, Taylee.
Eric, Oliver, Debbie and Teddy.
And of course, the birthday Cake.

And you'll never guess what the favorite toys were that Oliver got. Yep. A big slinky dog and a Buzz with wings (a lucky DI find).

Oh, and we had play dough ice cream. Yum.

Cambria.
Maisy.
And apparently I didn't get a picture of it, but we also had a play dough table and a coloring table with Toy Story pictures. Perfect party for 3 year olds.

Also, don't forget to look at the post that I did right before this about some remodeling projects.

  2. Very well planned and yes, that cake looks perfect. Play dough ice cream? Mm, can't say that sounds very appetizing if that means play dough flavor, but I'll assume it is just play dough colors, not texture or taste.
