Rigby Family Pics

Caleb and Becky's newest baby Addie got blessed yesterday, so we took a few family pictures at their house afterwards. We were missing Feliz and family and Hayden who is on his mission.

Adam, Cara, Cambria, Quincy and their foster kids Leah, Ana, and Ari.

Indee, Gavin, Eric, Derek, Caleb, Brandon and Adam.

Brandon, Marci, Rocky, Daisy, Rosy and Ike.
 Gavin and Claire.
Derek, Aynna, Jonah, Eleanor, and Inge.

And there is another new post after this.

Oliver's Collection

I told Oliver that we should take a picture of all of his Toy Story toys lined up. He didn't really respond to that idea. But then he woke up this morning and that was all that he wanted to do. Eric thought that that was my ideas taking over. But nope. I just planted the idea and Oliver thought it was a great one. And after seeing these pictures I'm sticking to my guns. I'm so happy to document his love for his toys.

You'll notice that his Giraffa (also called Horsie and Bullseye) and blanket are also in the picture.
In order: Oliver, animal blanket, Zurg, Giraffa, Bullseye, Woody, Trixie, Buzz, Slinky, and Rex.

Teddy wanted to join in on the fun too. The one where he is holding Slinky is fuzzy, but it is so cute that I had to include it.

Also Oliver's newest smile is he smiles like Bruce from Finding Nemo, and it is the most adorable huge smile that you have ever seen. I didn't quite capture it here, but hopefully I will soon.

Christmas gifts

Oliver and Teddy's favorite toys this Christmas are the ones that they bought for each other with the money and grandma sent them. Oliver got Teddy a pterodactyl and he won't put it down. And Teddy got Oliver the Rescue Bot Blades and he won't put it down either. They love them.

Oliver also completed his Toy Story toy collection. He now has his big Rex, big Zurg, big Woody, big Buzz, big Slinky Dog, Bullseye and Trixie. Everything that he asked for for his birthday. Thank you DI for making Christmas possible for this kid and affordable!

Kitchen Finished

So I pretty much finished my kitchen. I want to add some shelves in the corner, but we'll see if that ever happens.
So the first picture is the before picture from when we first looked at the house. Don't be fooled, the sliding glass door window isn't that huge, although it is big.

These next few are from since we have been living here. With our furniture.

Then there is the fresh paint. With the old furniture.

Then there is is old furniture with a fresh new touch. That was my project today.
I recovered the chairs this morning while my friend Natalie worked on making Christmas stockings. I also added a plastic layer to hopefully keep the material from becoming ugly and dirty like the last one became from dropping food out of the mouths, fingers and bowls of babies learning to eat in a clean manner. I used a shower curtain because I didn't know where to find plastic material.

I also put up a curtain for privacy. Make sure no creepers can see in our big kitchen window. Also, since winter is here the sun has been coming straight into that window and heating things up and brightening the room when we don't want it to. So hopefully it will help with that. And I think it looks nice.

 The finished product. For now.

Doors doors doors

I painted the hallway doors white and it is much brighter now. And I forgot to take a before picture before I took off the handles and started painting.

We also decorated the door to look like Olaf, per Oliver's request instead of just a snowman.
I lit my first fireplace fire ever,  but didn't leave it long because it was too much work keeping Teddy out. And it sort of fizzled to a big birthday candle after this picture, so I just blew it out later. But it was good practice for the next fire.

And Teddy is walking everywhere now starting today.  I love to see the determination and concentration on his face as he walks and falls and gets back up again.

Grateful trees

We did a grateful tree for thanksgiving and we liked it so much that we will do one for Christmas too! Don't forget to check out my kitchen in the previous post!
