Teddy loves

Teddy truly loves three things in life
1. Oliver's underwear
2. Babies
3. Giggling

Dentist

Well,  I took Oliver to the dentist. He got x-rays and it is cool because you can see his grown up teeth growing in in the x-rays! For some reason it never occurred to me that I would get a sneak peak of those.

Good news is that he did really great and liked getting all the fun toys and toothbrushes. Bad news,  he has a cavity,  maybe three! Seriously?!? It is the year of the cavities apparently. Eric just got five cavities fixed  (it has been like four years since he has been to the dentist and does have an extreme sweet tooth), I even had a cavity filled  (it was behind my concrete holding my retainer so I couldn't stop it if I tried-and it was a hard to detect, soft cavity). Now,  I guess it is Oliver's turn.  And he'll have to go under anesthesia.  He says there is for sure one cavity (can you see it on that front tooth? ) and maybe two others.  Hopefully this is the end of our dental bills for a while.

Quincinera

Our neighbor, Lariza, turned 15 yesterday and they invited us to her quincinera. I've never been to one before and so I didn't know what to expect.  They had a little ceremony where a pastor came and preached a sermon to her with words of wisdom.  Her parents gave her some gifts (a pink bible,  a pink pillow to kneel on, and a fancy ring to symbolize never ending love with God). They then fed is amazing Mexican food of grilled thin steak,  Mexican rice, refried beans,  corn tortillas,  green salsa,  and pico de gallo. All homemade and so delicious. I don't think I have ever seen so much food.  They also had a bouncy house for the kids and olive was in love.  He has always been afraid of them,  but I guess he is really growing up, because we could barely get him off of it.

It was also fun because in the morning I got to go to the Bountiful temple to Claire's endowment (Gavin, Eric's younger brother's fiance). Then right after,  Taylee, our neighbor,  had her third birthday party.  Then after the quincinera,  Eric went to a wedding reception with Oliver, and Teddy and I went to a nickel auction. It was a crazy busy,  but fun day.

Temple square flowers

We are now back in Utah and busier than ever. I thought that we needed a break from vacations, but now I'm thinking another one sounds good! We made it to Temple Square before all of the tulips were gone. Eric joined a soccer league and is now gone all the time for that along with being gone Mon-Wed night for school which he just started as well. Teddy got stung by a bee. There is a new beehive right at the entrance to of Mike Rigby's garden. Perfect for curious little fingers. Luckily he only got one sting. And hopefully he will now stay away. We babysat a friend's new baby and Oliver and Teddy were obsessed with him. And our neighbors got a new driveway.
There! I'm all caught up!

Florida part 6 Orlando

The last two days of the trip we stayed in Orlando with Joe and Heather and family. It turns out that it is a lot hotter and humid there! Whoo! The boys favorite things to do were to just play with all their fun Lego's and Star Wars toys. We also got to try out their new water table. The second day we went on a hike and found some alligators. But the heat made Oliver have jelly legs, so it wasn't as enjoyable as it should have been. But then we went to a splash pad and Oliver thought it was the best thing in the world.

Florida part 5 marineland

Our favorite beach was at Marineland. It has the white sand up top and cinnamon down by the water. Rocks along the side with little tide pools that are perfect for little kids. I didn't realize that there was a big smudge on my lens until about half way through this part, so sadly you can't totally see how crisp and clear it was. I went in the water too and it was so perfectly cool and refreshing. I could have stayed in there all day! But I would have gotten bored.  We also went to Steak and Shake and had good burgers and mustaches.

My favorite though is the fish that Oliver found at the pet store for Grandma's horse trough. It has a heart on it's head! SO COOL! So of course we got that one, along with 11 others. Luckily they wanted them and that is why we went to the pet store in the first place. We also enjoyed the first of the season's blackberries. Yum. Teddy and Oliver loved them!

Florida trip part 4 Flagler beach

The main goal of our trip was to spend a lot of time at the beach. We went to the beach four different times and had so much fun each time. This time we flew a kite and since the wind was perfect, it was easy peasy. And we had to try out the new sand toys at the beach.
